Lawn Fawn - Love you tons

Hi all,

So if you've read the previous post, then you'll know I have vertigo today..I'm just drunk but without the alcohol LOL...

These two little elephants have taken ages to colour with my Prismcolor pencils..The Alcohol ink background I did a couple of weeks ago (thank goodness) and all I did was stamp a few trees from the MFT set - Warm and Feathered Hugs.  The sentiment is by Neat and Tangled - Typed Sentiments.

I do love playing with Alcohol ink, what I don't like is you have no real control and knowing when to stop, so I decided that for this scene, I wanted to paint it, it's easier than watercolours LOL..

This was made for a challenge over on Just us Girls - #498 Photo Week
http://justusgirlschallenge.blogspot.com/

Here's another look at mine

Have you tried working with Alcohol inks ??

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you like my card!

Crafter's Companion - Party Paws - Bamboo

Hi all,

So you all know I had a craft room makeover last week, and yesterday I spent three hours looking for something I had filed away in a new home... oh my, I could tell you were it was two weeks ago prior to the make over... but I finally found it, a little too late, but I did LOL..

Well while I was on the hunt (and losing my mind...) I found a few stamp sets, that I had filed in plastic DVD cases from Stampin Up! one of them was perfect for a challenge over on Addicted to CAS  the theme for this challenge is Daisy..Well I haven't played with this stamp set in quite a while, It must be one of my first ones I bought, way way back..

I've coloured this little cutie, with my Prismacolor pencils, on the eco friendly cardstock, it's just one layer too.  I used all the warm grey's for the panda and just a touch of black.  The sentiment is from Neat and Tangled - Typed Sentiments.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you like the card!

It's the weekend with Clearly Besotted - Magical Plushies

Happy Friday to you all!

The weekend is here! YAY... so on my desk today is the Magical Plushies set from Clearly Besotted, I have quite a few sets from Clearly Besotted, as I just love their sentiment sets and the cuties LOL..

Ive coloured this one with my Prismacolor Pencils, and even though this is a real small image, there are around 15 layers of colour on it...I like to go lightly and build up, so the colouring and blending look seamless...(well I try too LOL)

Who doesn't like a unicorn... right..

He has a halo cloud of milled lavender distress ink around him, and I achieved this by covering him with a die cut cloud and then going over it with the distress ink, then removing the cloud and I then went over all of it.  This leaves a very faint cloud image, so that he looks like he's sat in the cloud.
(hopefully you can see, so hard to get the light right for that photo)
In the second photo, you can see his golden unicorn, that was created using a starduct gelly roll pen.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:-
  1. Less is more Challenge #400 - Small Images
  2. AAA Cards CAS Game #145 - One Image + Optional Twist Positivity
Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous weekend!

Penny Black - Balloon Ride

Hi all,

I'm not sure what it is at the moment, but I am loving coloring bears, dogs and balloons LOL

I've had to wait for this little guy to be back in stock, he's been out of stock for a while now but I knew I just had to have him... (you so know what I mean...don't you...yep i thought so LOL)

I coloured this one with my Prismacolor Pencils, on that eco friendly cardstock I was gifted.. it's not white white, it's an off white, but it works really well with the pencils..

Originally, I was going to fussy cut him out, but since I had stamped him with Inkon3 fade out ink in the middle of the cardstock, I thought I may as well just leave him there, mask him off and add the sky around him, with Soft Sky ink by Stampin Up! with my MFT cloud stencil.

After I finished colouring the bear, I went around him with a brown fineliner to add the bear fur back in, and I also went around the balloons too.

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you like my little bear!

Penny Black - It's your day

Hi all,

Its a lovely morning here in Melbourne with lots of winter sunshine, which makes a change from all the wind & rain we have been having latley.

I was able to get decent photos of the card I was working on from early last week.

I coloured this one with my Prismacolor pencils, and fussy cut it out.  The sentiment is by mama elephant - Birthday Sentiments.  The embossing folder is an old Stampin Up! one, and I did a distress oxide blend before I embossed it,  The banner and the striped paper are both by MFT.

Sorry I've been MIA

Hi all,

I'm so sorry I was MIA last week, I came down with a head cold, that has left me quite tired and run down, and I was in the middle of a craft room makeover... My lovely husband had decided that my craft room need a face lift.  I am fortunate that I have a whole room to myself, but it was filled with a mix of furniture that I had collected over the last 11 years LOL..

I now have a gorgeous white Ikea room...details/photos/video to follow....

Anyway I had this card below ready but I didn't get around to posting it... I have made it for the Stamping Sensations challenge - The Earth Laughs in Flowers

I've created a sunset sky with my distress oxides, and I did have what I used written down... but I can't find my notes (insert sad face) so I'm going to go with the following ...
Black soot, Wild honey, Dried marigold, Spiced marmalade, Worn lipstick and lastly Picked raspberry... The sentiment is from Altenew - Beautiful Quotes which has been heat embossed on to black card stock, the images have been stamped in black ink.

I'm now trying to catch up with everthing, so please bare with me while normal (haha...really I've never been normal... Weird with a twist  :) ) service is resumed LOL

Thanks for stopping by!

For A Guy at Make My Monday

Hi all,

Its Monday and that means it's time for a new challenge over on the Make My Monday Blog!  The lovely Meg is out host for this one and she has chosen "For a guy young or old"

This worked out quite well for me, as I needed a retirement card.  My postie is retiring.. I think he may be so tired with always walking up my steep driveway with my craft supplies....OK OK and my wine deliveries teehee!

So here is my card for him, let's hope that this card represents his free time from now on LOL

This is a stamp from LOTV, but they are now available in Digi's.  I've coloured it with Copics.
Used up some of my Old Olive Stampin Up! paper and DSP.  I've also used two punches and a sentiment by SU too.
The fence & grass are by Spellbinders. And a couple of stitched ovals to make a frame and to cut out the DSP.
This card has been popped up on fun foam and the image has been recessed for some added interest.
Here's a couple of more photos

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to come and join us for this new challenge over on the Make My Monday Blog!

Its the Weekend with Whimsy Stamps

Hello!

The weekend it's just around the next corner...well in Australia, it's actually here!!

So today I have been practising my colouring with no lines...with inkon3 Fade out ink, unfortunatly it faded out before I could finish my image LOL... It was on some cream eco friendly paper I had been gifted... so I thought I would try the white, it's a heavy 300gsm/140lb paper that has a medium tooth, perfect for pencils..and it is also eco friendly... The image was a new stamp I bought called "Puppy with Balloons" by Whimsy, I do love their stamps and digital stamps too!

I posted a quick photo on Instagram of my colouring,

He's adorable....

I couldn't wait till next week to use him.. so I messed (sorry created) around this afternnon and made a card.  Now there is a story behind this card..My friend needs a 40th birthday card for her Photography teacher, and she's having a cake smash...I really wanted to do a hippo in a tutu dancing around a cake...but she may take it the wrong way..  so I came up with this card as my friend and the other students in the class and the teacher, are always trying to compete with photo's of the sky and clouds and get them on "Jane Bunn's channel 7 news"

The panel has been stenciled using the MFT cloud stencil in Chipped sapphire, Blueprint Sketch and Wilted Violet.  I used the Lawn Fawn Cloud dies and cut two of each out of vellum, blue glitter floam and white cardstock, the white clouds and the main panel have also been die cut using a stitched rectangle die so it all matches up.
Puppy has been mounted using foam tape and the 40 has been die cut from the same glitter foam to match.
The sentiment is Clearly Besotted - Feeling Sentimental.

Here's a closer look...

I'm going to enter this into the SSS Wednesday challenge - Add a number.

Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous weekend!

It's Just One of Those Cards....

Hi guys,

So I'm back today with "Just one of those cards!" and what I mean by that is I just love it..and it's one of those that I could make again and again...

Its a masculine Christmas card... but it just has a certain something... Ok I'll let you judge for yourself..

It wasn't hard to do, but it just has a certain something about it... so I've die cut a stitched panel out of gold and Kaisercraft paper from the Christmas edition pad, and then I've used a Stitched Hillside Borders by Lawn Fawn.

I stamped the sentiment from the Sweet Little Sentiments by Clearly Besotted.

Two tags from a nesting set, one in black and one in Vellum (sshhh it's actually wedding vellum but you can't see the hearts)

The foliage die cuts are from Stampin Up and some I had in my stash and the Stags head was a free stamp and die set but any would do and that's all there is to it!

I think it's a great masculine Christmas card, this arrangement but a different image would also work for a feminine card too! (I'll let you know when I've done one LOL)

I'm going to enter this into a couple of challenges :-

Cute N Crafty Christmas - Challenge 15

Thanks for stopping by, hopefully I've given you some Christmas Inspiration ho ho ho,

Catch a Wave ??

Hi all,

Yesterday I played with the "Catch a Wave" stamp set from Gerda Steiner, when I saw how cute this little duck was with his surf board, I knew he was a must buy...

I wanted to create a scene for my card, Imagine you're in the ocean looking at the beach...that's the idea I was going for anyway...

I coloured the images with Copics, but the palm tree is from a Lawn Fawn die set - Palm Trees.  I've used distress oxide ink to create my background scene..

So the clouds have been created with the MFT cloud stencil in tumbled glass, the seagulls are from the SSS Surfs up stamp set.

For the sea, I die cut two stencils from the mama elephant Trio of waves die set, I used salty ocean and mermaid lagoon and I went over it with some white textile paint where the waves were crashing.

The beach is antique linen and then I stamped over it with the Altenew snowing stamp and MFT kraft ink.

I cut a small line in my beach so that my surf boards look like they are stuck in the sand and the palm tree is stuck on the sky part of the panel.

The beach panel has been mounted on to fun foam, to create some depth.

The sentiment is from the Catch a Wave stamp set, I'm entering this into the
