Make My Monday #106 Autumn/Fall

Hi all,

I'm here today as it's time for the Make My Monday #106 challenge, This challenge has been chosen by the lovely Wei, and you need to use Autumn/Fall colours or images!

Here's my card for this challenge,

This was such an easy card to make, I've even used up scrapes of paper!  The background is Lawn Fawn paper scrapes I needed to use up, and then I cut two circles to create a frame, which I attached all the sprigs too.  I used the McGill - Designer Pine punch for all those sprigs in Autumn colours.

The sentiment is from an old Stampin Up! set called Paisleys & Posies but I think it works well on this card! The banner is by Altenew from the Wood Pallet Background stamp and die set.  The sentiment was too large for it, so I just masked it off and curved the top one a little to fit the banner, and then masked it off again and stamped the Blessed separately.
A few sequins, bling and ribbon complete the card!

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to check out the rest of the cards made by our amazing design team, on the Make My Monday Blog, and I do hope you are inspired to take part!

Lawn Fawn - Love you tons

Hi all,

So if you've read the previous post, then you'll know I have vertigo today..I'm just drunk but without the alcohol LOL...

These two little elephants have taken ages to colour with my Prismcolor pencils..The Alcohol ink background I did a couple of weeks ago (thank goodness) and all I did was stamp a few trees from the MFT set - Warm and Feathered Hugs.  The sentiment is by Neat and Tangled - Typed Sentiments.

I do love playing with Alcohol ink, what I don't like is you have no real control and knowing when to stop, so I decided that for this scene, I wanted to paint it, it's easier than watercolours LOL..

This was made for a challenge over on Just us Girls - #498 Photo Week

Here's another look at mine

Have you tried working with Alcohol inks ??

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you like my card!

Its the Weekend with Whimsy Stamps

Hello!

The weekend it's just around the next corner...well in Australia, it's actually here!!

So today I have been practising my colouring with no lines...with inkon3 Fade out ink, unfortunatly it faded out before I could finish my image LOL... It was on some cream eco friendly paper I had been gifted... so I thought I would try the white, it's a heavy 300gsm/140lb paper that has a medium tooth, perfect for pencils..and it is also eco friendly... The image was a new stamp I bought called "Puppy with Balloons" by Whimsy, I do love their stamps and digital stamps too!

I posted a quick photo on Instagram of my colouring,

He's adorable....

I couldn't wait till next week to use him.. so I messed (sorry created) around this afternnon and made a card.  Now there is a story behind this card..My friend needs a 40th birthday card for her Photography teacher, and she's having a cake smash...I really wanted to do a hippo in a tutu dancing around a cake...but she may take it the wrong way..  so I came up with this card as my friend and the other students in the class and the teacher, are always trying to compete with photo's of the sky and clouds and get them on "Jane Bunn's channel 7 news"

The panel has been stenciled using the MFT cloud stencil in Chipped sapphire, Blueprint Sketch and Wilted Violet.  I used the Lawn Fawn Cloud dies and cut two of each out of vellum, blue glitter floam and white cardstock, the white clouds and the main panel have also been die cut using a stitched rectangle die so it all matches up.
Puppy has been mounted using foam tape and the 40 has been die cut from the same glitter foam to match.
The sentiment is Clearly Besotted - Feeling Sentimental.

Here's a closer look...

I'm going to enter this into the SSS Wednesday challenge - Add a number.

Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous weekend!

Catch a Wave ??

Hi all,

Yesterday I played with the "Catch a Wave" stamp set from Gerda Steiner, when I saw how cute this little duck was with his surf board, I knew he was a must buy...

I wanted to create a scene for my card, Imagine you're in the ocean looking at the beach...that's the idea I was going for anyway...

I coloured the images with Copics, but the palm tree is from a Lawn Fawn die set - Palm Trees.  I've used distress oxide ink to create my background scene..

So the clouds have been created with the MFT cloud stencil in tumbled glass, the seagulls are from the SSS Surfs up stamp set.

For the sea, I die cut two stencils from the mama elephant Trio of waves die set, I used salty ocean and mermaid lagoon and I went over it with some white textile paint where the waves were crashing.

The beach is antique linen and then I stamped over it with the Altenew snowing stamp and MFT kraft ink.

I cut a small line in my beach so that my surf boards look like they are stuck in the sand and the palm tree is stuck on the sky part of the panel.

The beach panel has been mounted on to fun foam, to create some depth.

The sentiment is from the Catch a Wave stamp set, I'm entering this into the

Romantic Florals - with Foamiran and Lawn Fawn

Hi all,

I had made this card a while ago but never got round to sharing it with you all and I just found it and realised, so here's the card!

This card has been made with the Quilted backdrop die & Pretty Poppies die by Lawn Fawn, a leaf die and a Spellbinders die, for the sentiment, and that is by JustRite.

I made the layering poppies into flowers from Foamiran, it's a bit like fun foam only thinner and you can use an Iron and a ball tool, to shape the petals.

A few pearls and antique glass button, linen twine and some sisal complete this card... A little bit different than a flat paper poppy die cut LOL

I'm going to enter this into the challenge over on Sweet Stampin - Add a button I know that I've only stamped the sentiment...but I wanted to show you,  what else you can make with those dies and your imagination LOL! EDITED I got top 3 - YAY
And Happy Little Stampers - Anything Goes with Dies

Tropical Pineapples

Hi all,

If you've read my previous post then you will know that I was on a little mission involving stamps..

So while I was looking through my wooden ones, I thought I would look through my photopolymer stamps too... well I think I need to have a de-stash... I have so many un-used "that I just had to have " stamps... anyone else the same?

Just like all the paper I hoard... some of my paper I still have in my filing draws from before I left the UK over 11.5 years ago OMG the struggle,  to either use it as it's too pretty or de-stash it...but I may regret it and NEED it one day LOL

And embellishments well we won't even go there haha...

Anyway, so I created a totally tropical card for the Double D - Tropical challenge

I had already used a Toucan, for last weeks challenge so this week it's a cool dude pineapple rocking some sunglasses LOL, so here's my card.

I've coloured the pineapples with Copics and I've managed to break into another page of that Electric Jungle paper pack from DCWV... (yes I'm on a mission to use some of it a least...)

Yep they look totally cool!

And seen as though there are three pineapples then I'm entering this into the Inkspirational challenge
  1. Inkspirational Challenge #190 - Three or Five
  2. Crafty Gals - Challenge #195 ~ Summer Fun!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you like my tropical card!

Make My Monday Challenge #97

Hi all, I'm back tonight sharing my first card as a DT member for Make My Monday

Wei is our host for this Challenge and the theme is Interactive...

I thought this card would be great for this challenge, as the plane is on a wobble...

I've stamped the images in Copic friendly ink from the Plane and Simple set by Lawn Fawn, and die cut them with the coordinating dies.

I've coloured the images with Copic markers.

The background and the cloud border dies are also by Lawn Fawn too.

Thanks for stopping by and sharing my first card as a DT with Make My Monday, hope you can pop over and enter the challenge and see more inspiration from the very talented Design Team!
