It's a been a couple of weeks since I last posted anything, I am still, not feeling 100% and on top of the vertigo, I am suffering with other issues too.. (insert sad face).

Anyway back to my card, so the theme was dance, and I had done a little online shopping as you do when you're ill LOL, and I recieved my parcel from Clearly Besotted, and I knew I had to colour these cute little hippo's up from the Twinkle Toes set, with my Prismacolor pencils!

I've some twine and sequins just to finish the card off and mounted it on some pink cardstock!

Hope you like the card and don't forget to pop over and take a look at the DT cards and enter the challenge too!

My Craft Room...

Hi guys,

So I'm still not feeling well, what ever virus/viral infection I have it sure does has a tight grip on me, so while I'm not up too creating, (my ribs/back ache when bending over colouring) I thought I would share my crafty space with you all...

So a few weeks ago I mentioned that my craft room had a makeover.. I am especially grateful to my hubby who knew I wanted "one of those craft rooms that you dream of"  so thank you Mr C. I am loving my new space!!

So I thought I would share some photos with you...I am hoping that eventually I will be able to film "A Craft Room Tour" and share where I have hidden all my crafting supplies... So my family call this my Cr@p Room LOL..And all the furniture came from Ikea.. (apart from the chairs I already had those)

As you enter through the double doors off the hallway this is what you see...

I have two desks, the one on the right is where I am sat typing this up, the book case on the right holds all my old Stampin Up! sets, and the top shelf and the two baskets sitting on top are my christmas stamps and some dies..

The table on the left is where I sit to craft.. the bookcase on the left is where I store all my stamps and dies, stamps are sorted by company and dies are by theme.

As you walk in to my craft room on the left wall you see my cutting and embossing table..

I have two bigshots, one for die cutting one for embossing, a sidekick and a Tonic guillotine, and a Scan N Cut (that gets used occasionally) To the right of the desk I have a 12inch Fiskars paper trimmer and my SU scoreboard.  All those draws are full yes....with ribbon, SU stamp pads and punches, Nuvo mousse, glitter, Alcohol inks, spare glue..you name it it's in there somewhere LOL..

Over on my right wall....

Is my wall of paper... I know...I am trying to use it LOL...

The bottom has 5 cubes, filled with Foamiran, flowers, paint, spare ribbon and sesal, organza and little plastic sealable bags.

Ok...so my crafty desk in more detail...

That on my desk is a Lack TV bench... under it are my Copics, on the top my pencils and paint brushes, in the middle are my Arteza and Zig watercolour pens along with sharpies and gel pens and my heat gun LOL.

To the left I have a basket of scrap card for sentiments and my colour swatch file and my stencils.
On my desk is a box of I need to use stamps before filing them away.. and my glass mat..

My peg board holds all my "I need this out" you know like my stamping tool, scissors, a hook for my glasses so I can find them LOL and just general pens that I use all the time, black, white and stardust gelly roll ones. The little shelf has my erasers, post it note sticky mask paper and pencil sharpeners and Zest it blend ...

So there you go this is my little peace of heaven...and where you find me Monday to Friday haha.. and no it's not always this tidy, but I am trying... and it's such an upgrade from my last craft space...

Thanks for popping in I sure do appreciate it!

Make My Monday - Friendship #102

Its Monday and that means it's time for a new challenge over on the Make My Monday Blog!  The lovely Debbie is out host for this one and she has chosen - Friendship #102

I decided that my new stamp - "Friendship" by Penny Black was perfect for this challenge!

To create this card, I stamped the image in black memento ink, and coloured it with Prismacolor pencils.  The sea has been created using 3 die cuts for stencils, I used Mermaid lagoon distress oxide ink, and the sky was the clous stencil by MFT and I used Tumbeled glass distress oxide ink.  The sentiment is from the same set, stamped in black and die cut using a tag die.

These guys are so cute sailing in some rough seas!

I'm entering this one into the following Challenges

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you like the card and why not pop over and join in with the challenge!

Stamping Bella - Pug and Hydrant - It's Friday

Happy Friday!

Yay we made it...its beer o clock time here, and I'm going to leave you with this little pug, I couloured up yesterday, when I saw this stamp in the "Not 2 Shabby Shop" I just knew I had to have him...

I stamped and masked him off and coloured the image with Prismacolour pencils, I then made the pavement and coloured that with Prismacolors also.  The brick wall is a Tim Holtz stencil, and I used the Wendy Vecchi make art station to hold the stencil in place and I used rusty hinge and fired brick distress ink, I moved the stencil a fraction so it looks 3D so that the image stands out.
The sentiment is also from the set.

I think today I've been the Hydrant LOL

Have a fab weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Clearly Besotted - Pop Up Plushies

Hi all,

I'm back today with another card for you, this time it's a dreamy scene... featuring four of the pop up plushies by Clearly Besotted..(you know I love Clearly Besotted!!)

I coloured four of the animals with my Prismacolour pencils and fussy cut them out.

The background has been stenciled using the Wendy Vecchi - Make art station,  with the cloud stencil by MFT, in Dried Marigold, Tattered Rose, Spun Sugar and Victorian velvet.  I added some splatters of white/silver (905)  and gold (906) starry paints by Kuretake, and while it was still wet I dusted it with glitter using my Ranger glitter duster.

I cut four slits in the clouds and slit where the paws are in the images and slotted them in, and adhered them with some foam tape,  so they appear to be peaking from over the clouds.  I stamped the sentiment from the same set in Insulation Pink by MFT, and cut it out with the Neat and Tangled Skinny Strip dies, and popped it up with foam tape.
All that was left to do was to find some paper and sequins that matched LOL

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you like the card!

Gerda Steiner - Catch A Wave...

Hi all,

Oh how I love this little guy in the catch a wave stamp set by Gerda Steiner... he is so cute...  So when I saw that the theme was Surfs Up, at Male Room challenge I had to enter this little guy!

I started this card by heat embossing the SSS - Waves in turquoise embossing powder by Ranger
I then masked this off with a piece of paper. For the top half  I used scattered straw distress oxide ink as my base.

I am using the Ranger - Wendy Vecchi Make art station for this.  Those magnets are really strong I used them to not only hold the paper but also the Tim Holtz stencil I used.
I blended ripe persimmon, wild honey and mustard seed for the sunrays.

The sea was a blend of mermaid lagoon and salty ocean and I added white textile paint with a sprinkle of glitter with my Glitter Duster.

I coloured my little guy with Prismacolor pencils but I sketched around him and made this the beach, which is also coloured with Prismacolours.  I made a slit in between the sea and the sun and pushed the image through it, and adhered him with foam tape.

The final touch was a few seagulls and the sentiment which are from the SSS - Surfs Up set.

I'm also entering this into

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you like my little guy!
