AAA Birthday Challenge - #6 Colour Challenge

Hi all,

Its that time of the month again ... It's the first Monday of the month which means it's time for a new challenge over on AAA Birthday and this challenge #6 is a colour palette challenge! The design team have been hard at work for this one, we have so many amazing creations, so I hope we inspire you and you come on over and join us!

We also have Trina  as our guest designer for this month too! So don't forget to pop over and take a look at her card and leave some love too!

Here's my take on the colour palette challenge...

So when I saw those colours for the colour palette challenge I thought of Halloween...but we are a Birthday challenge so I needed a birthday card that I could incorporate those colours into...

So This stamp is one that I won from the Less is More challenge a couple of months back and I couldn't wait to use it!  Its by Uniko and its called Peony Bev the owner of Uniko is so lovely and she posted it to me all the way from the UK!

Anyway, lets get back to the card!.. I have inked this up with Archival ink on Bristol Smooth as I wanted to watercolour it with my Arteza brush markers, I only used a few colours;

A105 - Lemon Yellow
A112 - Orange
A101 - Red
A161 - Emerald Green
A120 - Seaweed Green
A122 - Moss Green
A104 - Noir

I also went over the image with my Polychromos pencils for a little bit of extra detail too, and a few sequins and some splatters of black paint complete the card!  The sentiment is from the Peony set also!

Thanks for popping in to see me, I hope you like my card and don't forget to pop over and join in!

Happy Mail..

I'd received quite a bit of happy mail this last week and I hadn't been able to play with my Simon Says Stamp card kit... and it was just sitting there looking all pretty and I was itching to use it...
Well I just had to take 5 and play.. Ok so it wasn't just 5 minutes...but you know what I mean.. (haha)

I'd seen that AAA Cards had another challenge up

CAS Game #140 - Up To One Third + Optional Twist Bright Colours

And I just wanted to join in...and I could play with my happy mail too (Bonus)..

So I set about stamping my images from the Delicate Flowers Set and just a few filler images, I'm not good with leaving white space so this was indeed a challenge..

I've coloured the images with Copics and added some finer details with my Polychromo pencils added a sentiment and a few sequins and my card was complete.... I think they call this a clean and simple card ...(or in my case a really simple card...haha)

Here's my card...

Hope you like it and don't forget to pop over and take a look at the other cards or maybe join in!

Have a super weekend and thanks for popping in to see me!

Inspiration....

So as the title of this blog post suggests, it's where does your Inspiration come from...???

Well for this card, mine came from a challenge that I wanted to enter...It wasn't that the card looked like "Tea" it was more the colours that I used that reminded me of tea.... OK and I've arrange the flowers to look a little like a tea pot....(If you close one eye and squint?? maybe..?? and I now have the nursery rhyme I'm a little tea pot playing in my head LOL)

Anyway this is the Adore You stamp set by Altenew, coloured with Copics and Polychromos pencils.
The background is distress oxides in Tea Dye, Tattered Rose and Dried Marigold. Complete with a few splatters of starry night colour gold and a few sequins to finish it off.
The sentiment is also an Altenew set - Penned Rose and this has been embossed in copper.

Hope you like the card, and I am entering this into Inkspirational Challenge #185 - Tea Photo

Thanks for stopping by

Happy mail...

I received some happy mail in the post this week and couldn't wait to play...
I had to wait until the very popular Altenew sets were back in stock... I ordered Wallpaper art and Versatile Vases.

This is the card I made...

I stencilled a background using Distress Oxide inks, Cracked Pistachio and Tumbled Glass.

I stamped one of the leaf images and one of the flower images from the set.

I inked the leaves from the wallpaper art set in Altenews Frayed leaf ink and added some detail with Polychromos pencils numbers 168 &171.

I coloured the flower using Copics, colours RV32, RV34 7 RV55 and the middle of the flower G12, I also added some fine lines with a multi liner and popped some ebony nuvo drops in the middle of the flower.

I stamped the sentiment from the Versatile vases set on to some mint green cardstock I had in my stash with Altenews Permanent Black crisp dye ink.

I felt I needed some white leaves, so I pulled out a couple of dies from a Tim Holtz set and added those in.

Added some sisal and some sequins from my stash.
A lot of people have asked me about sisal, its what florists use, and should be available in most florist shops, I got mine on-line from Koch.

I've decided to enter this card into the Color Throwdown challenge #538 as it matches the colours for this challenge!

Why not pop on over take a look and enter too!

Thanks for stopping by!
