Make my Monday #109 - Colour Combo - Red, Green and White

I'm here today as it's time for the Make My Monday #109 challenge, This challenge has been chosen by Silvi, and you need to use the colour combo - Red, Green and White.

Here's my card for this challenge,

I decided to use this gorgeous design by Alex Syberia.  Alex sent me her latest release, the 2019 Holiday release to play with and unfortunately with being ill, this is the first time, I've had to play.. Please pop over to Alex's store she has the most stunning designs and I am very honored that she chose me to colour/play with her designs!

I coloured/painted the wreath with nuvo mousse and Arteza pens, I cut the sentiment Joy out of the middle of the wreath and mounted it to a die cut bauble,   and added a ribbon bow.  The background has been splattered with gold and white gold paints. And just a couple of sequins finishes the card...  This card reminds me of those posh (hand made ones) that you buy in a Hallmark store LOL.  I think this card is going to be me go to card for the season, as it's very easy to colour and mass produce LOL, and I need EASY haha

I've tried to take a close up of these so you can see the shimmer!

So other news, my face ache/sinus problems are still with me :( so I've just hopped on to Amazon and bought a facial steamer, with the hope it may clear my sinus problems, and on top of that its the start to the hay fever season (my grass allergy goes off the chart so I've been told :(  LOL  The good news I can get my glasses on again, but it hurts after a while, so I haven't been spending much time crafting or on social media as I can't see to type or see LOL.. The joys of getting older and needing glasses for reading and for distance.. And hopefully my blood sugar is back under control... Because when I go back to the doctors as I don't want to be told off again haha..

Anyway, hope you all have an amazing week, hope you have something crafty planned and thanks for popping in to see me! I do love that you are all still with me!

AAA Birthday Challenge - #7 Include a number.

Hi all,

Its that time of the month again ... It's the first Monday of the month which means it's time for a new challenge over on AAA Birthday and this challenge #7 is to include a number on your card! The design team have been hard at work for this one, we have so many amazing creations, so I hope we inspire you and you come on over and join us!

We also have Izzy  as our guest designer for this month too! So don't forget to pop over and take a look at her card and leave some love too!

Here's my creation for this challenge,

For my card this month I have tied to use up scraps, you know the ones that end up in a basket, either you just don't like them or they are the wrong colour ect... well this is one of them, the inked background originally was a thank you card, but the placement was slightly off, so I found a die cut circle in my scrap bin and stamped the Happy Birthday from the Simon says stamp circle sayings,  I adhered that with foam tape and then die cut "50th" out of mirror board and glued it to the circle...Simple card, and I've used up 2 scraps LOL.

I won't be needing this card just yet, but it's good to know that I have one in my stash ready, now if I could only find my mojo to complete some Christmas cards and I'd be laughing!

Hope you all have a fab week and have something crafty planned!

Make my Monday #108 - Poppy/Poppies

I'm here today as it's time for the Make My Monday #108 challenge, This challenge has been chosen by the lovely Caz, and you need to use a Poppy or Poppies.

Here's my card for this challenge,

I've chosen a very simple card for this challenge as I'm still not well... I must admit it's taking its fair time to go and every day I feel more miserable as I'm losing my crafting mojo, so if you find my mojo, can you please send it back ASAP please :)

So back to the card, this is an Altenew stencil, and I filled in the stencil with distress inks and then went over it with my Arteza watercolor pens, and I just used a water pen to blend/watercolour out the edges, once dried I just went back in with the Arteza pens to put in some fine details. (see told you it was simple! although I made it over a two week period as I can't look down for too long urhhh)  I added a die cut thanks and some sequins and that along with some paper completes this card..

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to check out the rest of the cards made by our amazing design team, on the Make My Monday Blog, and I do hope you are inspired to take part!

Make my Monday #107 - Fruit and or Vegetable

I'm here today as it's time for the Make My Monday #107 challenge, This challenge has been chosen by the lovely Janeen, and you need to use a fruit and or a vegetable.

Here's my card for this challenge,

I've chosen this design for a couple of reasons, it was an easy one to do, and I'm thankful that you guys are still with me, even though I have been MIA with not much happening on here, TBH crafting is hard ATM, I'm hoping that as the weather improves I do too! Not much of an ask is it LOL.

So back to the card, this is an old Stampin Up set "At Home With You" I coloured the door, mat and the pumpkins with Copics and die cut them out.

The paper is also from Stampin Up, I just added a few more lines for more boards and added a strip along the bottom for the decking.  I die cut the door in the backing paper and then added my door in it's place.  The window section of the door has also been die cut, and I just added some clear transparency sheet (acetate) for the windows and popped a tiny piece of paper to resemble wallpaper.

Nothing fantastic about this card other than it fits the criteria of the challenge and like I said I'm thankful that you are still coming to visit me, it means a lot!

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to check out the rest of the cards made by our amazing design team, on the Make My Monday Blog, and I do hope you are inspired to take part!

AAA Birthday Challenge - #6 Colour Challenge

Hi all,

Its that time of the month again ... It's the first Monday of the month which means it's time for a new challenge over on AAA Birthday and this challenge #6 is a colour palette challenge! The design team have been hard at work for this one, we have so many amazing creations, so I hope we inspire you and you come on over and join us!

We also have Trina  as our guest designer for this month too! So don't forget to pop over and take a look at her card and leave some love too!

Here's my take on the colour palette challenge...

So when I saw those colours for the colour palette challenge I thought of Halloween...but we are a Birthday challenge so I needed a birthday card that I could incorporate those colours into...

So This stamp is one that I won from the Less is More challenge a couple of months back and I couldn't wait to use it!  Its by Uniko and its called Peony Bev the owner of Uniko is so lovely and she posted it to me all the way from the UK!

Anyway, lets get back to the card!.. I have inked this up with Archival ink on Bristol Smooth as I wanted to watercolour it with my Arteza brush markers, I only used a few colours;

A105 - Lemon Yellow
A112 - Orange
A101 - Red
A161 - Emerald Green
A120 - Seaweed Green
A122 - Moss Green
A104 - Noir

I also went over the image with my Polychromos pencils for a little bit of extra detail too, and a few sequins and some splatters of black paint complete the card!  The sentiment is from the Peony set also!

Thanks for popping in to see me, I hope you like my card and don't forget to pop over and join in!

Make My Monday #106 Autumn/Fall

Hi all,

I'm here today as it's time for the Make My Monday #106 challenge, This challenge has been chosen by the lovely Wei, and you need to use Autumn/Fall colours or images!

Here's my card for this challenge,

This was such an easy card to make, I've even used up scrapes of paper!  The background is Lawn Fawn paper scrapes I needed to use up, and then I cut two circles to create a frame, which I attached all the sprigs too.  I used the McGill - Designer Pine punch for all those sprigs in Autumn colours.

The sentiment is from an old Stampin Up! set called Paisleys & Posies but I think it works well on this card! The banner is by Altenew from the Wood Pallet Background stamp and die set.  The sentiment was too large for it, so I just masked it off and curved the top one a little to fit the banner, and then masked it off again and stamped the Blessed separately.
A few sequins, bling and ribbon complete the card!

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to check out the rest of the cards made by our amazing design team, on the Make My Monday Blog, and I do hope you are inspired to take part!

Make My Monday #105 - Colour Challenge

Hi all,

I'm here today as it's time for the Make My Monday Challenge #104, This challenge has been chosen by ME, TeeHee.... And my challenge is going to be a colour challenge! Here's my card...

This gorgeous stamp called "Endless Potential"  is by an Australian Company based in South Australia, called Uniquely Creative, They are a new favourite of mine LOL.

Anyway here is the colour pallete I choose

Were in Spring here in Australia, and I just love these colours and flowers LOL

I stamped the image in black waterproof ink, as I wanted to try out the Arteza real brush pens. (very similar to the Zig real brush pens for watercolouring)  There is a slight difference between the Zig and Arteza mainly the size of the brush tip and Arteza have a few more colours.

The Sentiment is by Clearly Besotted, I really love that font!  I've added a couple of gems to the middle of the flowers and a wee bit of sparkle to complete my card!

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to check out the rest of the cards made by our amazing design team, on the Make My Monday Blog, and I do hope you are inspired you to take part!

Make My Monday #104 - With Whimsy Stamps

Hi all,

I'm back today with another post this time for the Make My Monday Challenge #104, This challenge has been chosen by the lovely Dawn, and it's to use shapes on your card, it can be Circles, ovals, squares, rectangles, etc...

I've gone with circles ...

I die cut a panel of pale blue/green card and I adhered the die cut circles to the panel, the mermaid tales have been coloured with Copics and fussy cut out so I could tuck them in under the circles, I wanted the circles to represent the bubbles created when the mermaids are diving under the water...if you get what I mean LOL...

The sentiment is from the same set too called Mermaid Dreams.  To finish the card I just added some droplets, sequins and rhinestones... and a wee drop of nuvo sparkle, well you have to have some glitter don't you...

AAA Birthday

Hi all,

Its that time of the month again ... It's the first Monday which means it's time for a new challenge over on AAA Birthday and this challenge #5 is use a stencil!

I was still in Masculine mood and wanted to play with some happy mail I had ordered whilst I was ill... Retail therapy, good for the soul, not so much for the wallet LOL..

So I created this card by stenciling the stripes in distress oxide ink, I then die cut a circle the same size as my port hole, out of masking paper and stuck it down,  I Went over most of my stenciled lines with distress oxide ink and flicked some water for splashes of sea LOL..

I die cut the porthole and glued it to the MFT circle shaker pouch, added some sequins and balls inside and glued that to the panel.

The anchor was coloured and then fussy cut and I just added some twine to resemble rope, the sentiment is from the Neat and Tangled set - Yo Ho Ho, and that completes my card!

We also have Rachelle joining us this month as our guest designer, so please pop over and have a look at her card and the other cards by our amazing design team! I really hope we will inspire you to join us and play along  and you have until September 29th!

Thanks for stopping by!
